3rd preparatory meeting sets the stage for the 7th GECF Summit of Heads of State and Government
The High Level Ad Hoc Working Group (HLAHWG) for the 7th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) convened today at the GECF Secretariat, marking the third preparatory meeting leading up to the marque event.
The HLAHWG directs the arrangements for the upcoming edition of the biennial gathering, which is scheduled to be held in Algiers, Algeria, in February 2024.
The meeting brought together representatives from the GECF member countries, including Algeria, Bolivia, Egypt, Iran, Nigeria, Qatar, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.
During the session, the Algerian delegation provided updates on the ongoing preparations, the Summit's agenda and declaration. Secretary General HE Eng. Mohamed Hamel led the Secretariat team.
