2nd preparatory meeting for the 7th GECF Summit held
The second meeting of the High Level Ad Hoc Working Group (HLAHWG) for the 7th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) was held via videoconference.
The HLAHWG oversees the preparations for the upcoming edition of the biennial gathering, which is slated to be held in Algiers, Algeria, in February 2024.
The meeting was attended by GECF member countries: Algeria, Bolivia, Egypt, Iran, Qatar, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela. The Executive Board member from Algeria, Ms Fatiha Neffah, continued her role from the first meeting in March 2023 as the chairperson of the Group. Secretary General HE Eng. Mohamed Hamel led the Secretariat team.
